Formed in 2015 between Milan and London, Throw Down Bones are an experimental duo blending krautrock, post-punk, rave, and industrial psychedelia into a dense, immersive sonic experience. Their distinctive sound has established them as a notable presence in the European underground scene.
Their self-titled debut in 2015 was critically acclaimed, consolidating their reputation in the psychedelic circuit. In 2018, they released Two, followed by Three in 2023 — marking a new chapter for the band after the tragic loss of founding member Dave Cocks in a motorcycle accident in 2019.
Throw Down Bones are known for their powerful, captivating live shows. Recently, they released Live at Fuzz Club Festival ’24, a live album capturing the full intensity of their performances.
This follows the release of Three in 2023, marking the return of Francesco Vanni to London’s New River Studios, where he reunited with longtime collaborator and producer James Aparicio (Spiritualized, Nick Cave). With a reinvigorated lineup featuring bassist Marion Andrau and drummer Raphael Mura, the band embarked on an electrifying new chapter.
Mixed and mastered by James Aparicio, the live album captures the raw energy of Throw Down Bones—melding gritty electronics, fuzz-laden bass, hypnotic guitars, and driving live drums—while also celebrating the triumphant return of the beloved Fuzz Club Festival in Eindhoven, Netherlands, after a hiatus following the 2019 pandemic.
